Tony Pike. Jonathon Dwyer. Devin McCluster. These were players that, prior to the recent NFL draft combine seemed to be surefire 1st or 2nd round prospects. But not anymore. Not after the numbers they put at the NFL combine and unless they have a stellar Pro Day at their home campus they could continue to slide all the way up the NFL gambling draft day.
Pike has had injury questions over the past several years but with a big day at the combine could have secured a at least a second round slot for himself with a productive showing at the NFL draft combine. The NFL combine is the closest thing to a livestock show that many NFL betting lines experts will ever see. Future NFL draft picks are poked and prodded, assaulted with a tidal wave of questions and forced to perform like show ponies.

One year ago there was great anticipation among NFL betting lines junkies for the 2010 quarterbacking class. It was going to rival the great NFL draft of 1984 that produces such stars as Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and John Elway. With Colt McCoy, Sam Bradford and Tim Tebow all coming off phenomenal seasons their potential in the NFL betting lines seemed limitless.
But after Bradford’s season was torn apart by injuries, McCoy failed to live up to the hype and Tebow’s mechanics were torn apart by NFL draft experts, this QB crop now looks mighty average in the eyes of most NFL betting line’s experts.
