You know things are tough when back to back wins in the NFL gambling action would be the longest winning streak of the year but no one would dispute the fact that times are tough indeed for the struggling Buffalo Bills.

The San Francisco Forty-Niners have suffered from lack of decent QB-play more acutely than any other team in the NFL betting odds competition. With only about 8-9 truly ‘good’ QBs in the league most teams suffer from mediocre play under center. But the Niners feel the pain the most because this is a team that a pro-bowler in the backfield, at the receiver position, a talented young O-line and potentially one of the best defenses in the NFL if could ever get a few minutes to rest.

The only thing the Niners team is missing for success is an above average QB. And it may have just found their above average signal caller in the former Ohio State standout Troy Smith. The Pittsburgh Steelers, against all odds, started off the 2010 NFL betting odds season with a respectable 4-1 record. In fact, the team notched the best record in the NFL and looked to be the best team in the league, which is remarkable considering they arrived at that mark with their 4th string QB Charlie Batch behind center.

Many football fans had this game circled on their calendars in the preseason as they anticipated a colossal clash of the NFC titans in this Week 9 NFL betting odds matchup. Heading into the 2010 season these were the two favorite teams from the NFC to reach the Super Bowl.
