When most NFL betting fans think of the Cincinnati Bengals they think of team finesse with a good QB, top WR targets and not much else. If you can stop the Bengals pass game the run game can be contained and the porous defense can beat into submission or beaten deep, or so the conventional football betting wisdom went.

But head coach Marvin Lewis looks to have finally found his NFL betting stride, or at least the right personnel to play the type of game he’s always wanted to play in Cincy and this club is no longer your father’s Bengals.

The Bengals have undergone radical changes over the past two football betting off-seasons and this team now looks more like its AFC North rivals the Ravens and Steelers than the Bengals of old.

Consider that last year in the NFL odds competition the Bengals were top 10 in the football betting action with 128.5 ypg on the ground were actually 4th in the NFL odds with 31.6 rushes per game. That doesn’t sound much like the pass happy Bengals of the past.

But that radical shift in offense tactics resulted in the Bengals best finish in years (10-6) and the team’s first AFC North division title in years. However, the offense might not even be the most important part of this team anymore as the Lewis influence has finally been felt on the other side of the ball and the defensive unit is finally starting to make a name for the Bengals.

In the 2009 NFL betting season the Bengals ranked sixth in the NFL betting action in total defense allowing just 18.2 ppg, beating the vaunted Steelers defense in the this statistical category for the first time in the history of the universe. It also ranked 6th in the NFL betting in passing yards and 7th in league in rushing yards. The Bengals have toughened up in the middle of the defense thanks to some very good drafting in recent years and has arguably the best set of cover CBs in the NFL odds right now.

The Bengals are a team on the rise and as defending AFC North champs they’re the ones bullying people around now, not the other way around.

It has been a very long time since the Miami Dolphins entered the football betting season resembling anything like a NFL betting lines favorite. But thanks to a busy offseason and some young talent on the verge of making a major impact on the NFL gambling results, NFL odds makers are very high on the Dolphins chances heading into the NFL betting season.

The Miami Dolphins have been little more than an average team over the past few NFL wagering seasons and the team is only two years removed from a nightmarish 1-15 season. But since football guru Bill Parcells and head coach Tony Soprano took over this team’s performance against the NFL gambling lines has certainly trended upward.

For the most part this team’s roster has been as talented starved as any in the NFL betting lines action but has also been an overachiever and able to win a modest total of games. But this football betting offseason the team got an infusion of talent at the position where it was needed most: WR.

The team made the biggest trade of the NFL betting offseason by trading for the troubled but supremely talented WR from the Broncos, Brandon Marshall. Marshall automatically upgrades this offense from poor to the division title contender simply by stepping on the field. The Dolphins have consistently had the worst receiving corps in football betting and this has forced their offense to become one-dimensional and over rely on the run.

Not this year. With young QB Chad Henne poised for a breakout season he could put huge numbers this NFL betting season if Marshall can stay healthy and adapt to playing in Miami. The running game will remain one of the best in football betting with RBs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams sharing carries.

On defense there are few holes but the front seven remains strong and if the secondary can simply cut down on the number of big plays over the top this team will be as good as any in the AFC East. That’s right, this team will be able to compete head to head in the NFL betting lines competition with the New York Jets and New England Patriots. And when the football betting dust clears, we might just see the Dolphins hoisting the division title.

Perhaps the most intriguing player heading into this year’s NFL draft is Oklahoma State’s star WR Dez Bryant. This is a player that is tremendous risk in some NFL betting lines expert books, not worth even looking at until the second round; and yet he’s a top three pick according to other NFL betting gurus. That the perception of a player can vary so greatly from one opinion to the next is interesting indeed and because it does vary so widely, Bryant could take a draft day tumble and make some team very lucky and very happy to be able to land his services relatively cheap.

Heading into his junior season of college football betting competition NFL betting lines experts had him rated among the top WR talent in the country. And after a month of action in the college he had separated himself from the rest of the class as the top WR prospect in the NFL draft. And then he got suspended.

For more details about NFL Betting Lines please go to SBG Global.comSportsbook

With discipline Nazi Roger Goodell now at the helm of the NFL teams hyper-sensitive about the character of the players they put on their roster to compete in the NFL betting. And with good reason as some NFL players have behaved like animals off the field and tarnished the league’s reputation.

However, the offense that warranted Bryant’s suspension was concealing the truth about a meeting he had with Deon Sanders. But in the crazy world of college football betting competition you’re better off going on a mass killing spree than lying to the omnipotent NCAA authorities.

Bryant has overcome ridiculous hardship already in his young life (his mother gave birth to him at age 12) and any questions about his character seem misguided at best.

But what makes him a prize in this year’s NFL draft is his ability to impact an NFL betting competition not his character. He’s got terrific size for an impact receiver 6’2” 220 lbs and is a blazer. He’s got great ball skills and is an effective route runner.

On almost every NFL draft board his talent has him listed as a top five talent and it would be like winning the football betting lottery for any team in the second half of the first round if he were to slip that far on draft day.

As the holders of the first pick overall in the upcoming NFL draft the St Luis Rams are enjoying the spot light and unwelcome attention that has seemed to elude them on the field for the than a decade. Perennially one of the worst teams in the NFL betting lines, this franchise has guaranteed itself great positioning in the NFL draft and become the focus of online betting fans …at least until the draft is over.

What the sports betting universe wants to know is who will the Rams take with the first pick of the 2010 NFL draft. If the team looks to improve its retched defense, among the worst of any team in the NFL betting lines last season it will likely take highly coveted DT Ndamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy; both sure-fire picks according to NFL betting lines experts.

If the team opts instead to upgrade its offense, also among the worst in NFL betting last season, it could go with QB Sam Bradford (the only player that position that grades out as a first-round talent on many football betting experts draft boards). Picking a top DT would be the prudent move and shore a defense that seemed always to be on the wrong side of the NFL betting lines last season.

There would be much less risk involved as most NFL draft experts think either McCoy or Suh are can’t miss, sure fire Pro Bowlers. Taking a QB is a much riskier proposition (think Jeff George) but the football betting upside is also much higher (think Peyton Manning). And for a team that so desperately needs to improve the thought jumping from NFL wagering outhouse to the penthouse with one draft pick must be appealing.

And for a coach who’s got one more season, at best, to start winning in the NFL betting lines, the urgency of the situation would seem to dictate taking a QB. But sports betting fans will have to wait until draft day to which player is taken first and another five months after that to see what kind of impact the player has on the Ram’s NFL betting success.

The Big 12 may have earned itself a reputation of under forming in big games in the college football betting odds in recent years but in terms of producing top-quality NFL draft entrants, this conference takes a back seat to no one in the college football gambling.

The knock on the Big 12 is that it lacks the athleticism and speed of other top-tier conferences in college football betting. But sports betting fan need only look over the hundreds of mock drafts posted on online betting sites this year to realize that even though this conference hasn’t taken home a national college football wagering title in a few years, it’s a major pipeline for talent in the NFL betting lines.

You don’ t have to be a NFL betting lines expert to realize that Big 12 players dominate the top of the NFL draft boards for sports betting fans and NFL franchises alike. Of the three players that are considered possible picks at the #1 spot overall in the upcoming NFL draft, (Ndamuking Suh, Sam Bradford, Gerald McCoy), all three are from the Big 12.

Further, the glance through the myriad mock drafts posted by online betting sites and various fan sites and the predictions are riddled with talented Big 12 players as well. Offensive lineman Russel Okung and Trent Williams both grade out as top 20 picks, maybe even top 10 picks, according to most NFL betting lines experts.

TE Jermaine Grisham will certainly be called on the first day of the draft and talented WR Dez Bryant was the best receiver in college football betting this past season and will certainly be a top 10 pick. And that’s to say nothing of QBs Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy, players that have dominated online betting discussions for the past few years and will destined for NFL draft success.

Usually one of the glamour spots in the NFL Draft, this year’s class doesn’t really have any attention grabbing running backs. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t RB talent in this year’s draft and in fact a few lucky teams will be able to get great talent at lower draft slots, according to NFL gambling draft experts, as under the radar RBs will still be around in the later rounds.

Right now there are two to three RBs that could go in the first round of the NFL draft. At the top of that list is Clemson RB CJ Spiller. Spiller is not a big back by any means and some NFL gambling gurus even question whether or not he’ll be able to be an every down back. And he might not be but that doesn’t’ mean he won’t be productive. He’ll play from day one thanks to his blazing speed and quickness.

The bonus here is that he’s extremely versatile and can return kicks and punts as well line up wide as a receiver. Jahvid Best of Cal is another likely first rounder. He’s a similar player to Spiller, very quick and deceptively fast, yet durability is an issue and a team may not want to drop their first pick on a player that might not be an every down guy or is chronically injured. For NFL gambling fans that like big backs there’s also plenty that in this year’s NFL draft.

Georgia Tech’s Jonathon Dwyer is a massive north-south runner who has ran over ACC defenses for the past three years. The only knock is that he plays out in an option style offense and won’t have those kinds of lanes in the NFL. And the dark horse of this RB class is Stanford power back Toby Gerhardt. He’s a Mike Alstott clone and could have a similar career.

A Super Bowl victory can cure a lot of ills. But a loss in sports betting’s biggest game can be nearly as damaging as a win is curative. Take the case of Peyton Manning. In his first nine years in the NFL sports betting competition he put up some very impressive individual stats but despite great success in the regular season he was routinely bounced in the sports betting playoffs and never really came close to sniffing the Super Bowl stats competition.

But when he finally won on sports betting’s biggest stage he was instantly vindicated for all his past failures not and for not having qualified for the Super Bowl stats in his previous nine seasons.

He emerged from Tom Brady’s shadow and that single win in the Super Bowl stats propelled him to saintly status. But just as quickly, after the loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium (formerly Land Shark Stadium, formerly Dolphins Stadium, formerly whatever, etc, etc) the whispers of ‘choke artist’ and ‘failure’ gained currency again on the fringe of sports betting fandom.

And with good reason. As a starter in the NFL no one has won more regular season games during Manning’s 12-year span. But in the post season Manning led teams are just 9-9; a meager .500. And nothing is more reflective of this mediocrity than the 1-1 record in the Super bowl stats. Manning is still likely the greatest QB ever. But it’s going to take some time, and possibly another Super Bowl trophy to rehab his big game image.

The New Orleans Saints are playing the first Super Bowl betting competition in the franchise’s history. That in itself is a huge NFL odds accomplishment, but it will all be for naught if the team can’t seal the deal in the Super Bowl betting lines. It’s great to get that monkey off your back but no one remembers the team that finished second in the final NFL odds contest and for the Saints’ season to truly be a success nothing less than the Lombardi Trophy will do.

So far in the post season NFL odds the Saints have been a flawed team, but nonetheless a victorious one. With a record of 2-0 in the NFL odds playoffs so far there still plenty of areas where the Saints can –and must- improve if they are to be victorious in the Super Bowl betting.

New Orleans has been superb in the TO this post season just as they have been all NFL odds season. This must continue. The Saints forced 6 TOs against the Vikings in the NFC Championship game, which is fantastic, but they also gave up 28 points and nearly lost the game. On the other side of the ball the Saints managed just 68 yards on the ground against the Vikings, a terrible number for a team that averaged 131.5 ypg on the ground during the regular season.

QB has been the key to this team’s success all season and especially so in the post season games leading to the Super Bowl betting odds. Brees has 6 TDs and 0 INTs in the post season and has been nearly perfect. That must continue on Sunday against a deceptively good Indy defense.

It’s been a long time coming but the New Orleans Saints are finally playing in the Super Bowl lines for the first time in franchise history. Over four decades in the making the Saints are now just one sports betting win away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy and staking their claim as world champs for the first time in NFL history.

The Saints will win this sports betting matchup against the Colts and it will be for much of the same reasons that they’ve been so successful throughout the NFL regular season and the run up to the Super Bowl lines.

Drew Brees has been nearly perfect in the sports betting odds this post season and that will continue against a weakened Indy D. Without Dwight Freeney in the Super Bowl lines action to harass him Brees will have a bit more time and more importantly he’ll have an extra receiver on passing downs as the Saints should be to release the RB instead of keeping him in to help block Freeney.

The Saints offensive success in the sports betting this year has been predicated on passing success with multiple receiver sets and they should continue to be successful against the diminished pass rush of the Colts in the Super Bowl lines. And on defense you should expect more of the same recipe that got the Saints to the Super Bowl as well. This unit will give up points to the Colts but they’ll make up for that with TOs. The Saints led the NFL sports betting with 46 TOs so far this season and that’s been the difference between this squad being pretty and a potential Super Bowl champ.

It’s all come down to this. After off-season workouts, training camp, the preseason and months of grueling NFL competition all the marbles are on line the two teams that qualified for the Super Bowl. And what a Super show down it is as two of the most exciting teams in the NFL betting lines will take the field to decide which team is the best in the NFL odds.

This is close matchup in the online betting world and either team has a good a good chance of winning. But for the Colts to win the franchise’s second Super Bowl in four seasons there are several things that must go right. First, the Colts O-line has to protect Peyton Manning.

This is a given for any team, but especially for the Colts, a team that is ultra-dependent on the QB (39 pass attempts and just 24 run attempts in the AFC title game). Manning is the entire offense and accounts for nearly ¾ of the team’s offense. Second, the Colts monster DE’s Mathis and Freeney must get pressure on Drew Brees. Brees helms the highest scoring offense in the league and the teams that have had success against the Saints have done it by harassing Brees.

The speed of the Colts defense bodes well in this matchup as they’ll be able to contain weapons like Reggie Bush from getting to the outside. But Brees must be disrupted in the pocket or he could have a big day passing. Third, the Colts cannot afford to turn the ball over. The Saints D was second in the NFL in INTs (26) and makes its living picking off passes and setting up scores. Manning is not generally turnover-prone but he’s got to be extra careful against this ball hawking secondary.
