What are the NFL Odds as to their not being NFL Football in 2011?

Peyton ManningThat’s a really good question! But if the NFL and the NFL Players Association do not reach a collective bargaining agreement soon that could happen! Many people ask why they are not able to reach an agreement. Basically the NFL Owners and the NFL Players Association are disputing several items of their bargaining agreement.

The largest item they are discussing is the best way to split the revenue which is anticipated at nine (9) billion dollars. The agreement ready to expire would allow the owners a one billion cut of the top and the owners want to increase that amount to two billion before any money is dispersed to the Players Association. Never before has this team had more than one or two legitimate playoff contenders but this season all four teams have shot at the post season. It remains the only division in the league that doesn’t have a team with a losing record.

The Houston Texans started off with the early lead in this division but have since fizzled a bit and now sport a 4-4 record. Likewise with the 4-4 Jacksonville Jags which has been treading water for most of the season, but QB David Garrard quietly putting together a fine season this team is poised to make a run. Odds NFL: Saints vs Panthers NFL Free Picks Week 9

saints vs panthersIt always helps to look at the positives in life and when looking over this Week 9 NFL betting odds matchup there simply doesn’t seem to be any for the Carolina Panthers (1-6). And it would be nice to say that the Saints will win this game simply because they’re the better team and playing at a high level (which is true on both accounts) but it could be Notre Dame across from the Carolina in this matchup and it would still be difficult the Panthers to win a game.

Even though the Saints (5-3) are coming off a major win of the Steelers at the Super Dome and look to be playoff contender, picking the Panthers to lose has more to do with how awful the Panthers are rather than how good the Saints are. Read more…
