Bengals in Charge!

Judging by the NFL betting lines, there should be little doubt as to which is the best team in the AFC North. No, it’s not the defending Super Bowl champs. It’s the Cincinnati Bengals and for anyone who might suggest otherwise one need only to reference the Bengals perfect 5-0 record in division play (including two wins versus Pittsburgh).

Cincinnati has emerged from the wreckage of two injury-riddled and worthless seasons to become not only the best team in the AFC North but one of the top five teams in the entire NFL betting lines. This team still has plenty of flaws but beating the Steelers on the road is something that no other team has been able to do so far this year and serves as pretty impressive yard stick in the pro football wagering.

That NFL betting lines win combined with four other division victories basically makes the Bengals a lock to win the division and earn home field advantage at least through the first week of the NFL wagering playoffs.

Carson Palmer is once again playing a high level and connecting with receivers but it’s been the team’s running attack and the defense that have been the strength of the Bengals this year. The two young corners are perhaps the best tandem in the NFL betting odds and the defensive front has been able to pressure opposing QBs all season.

It’s still a bit too early to say for sure, but the way this team has been playing it could do some damage in the post season. It’s as well rounded a team as there is in the league right now and it just might be one of the best Bengals squads ever.
