Betting Line – Saints at Panthers NFL Odds

The betting line board for the final weekend of regular season NFL online betting will include the NFC South Division matchup between the visiting New Orleans Saints and home standing Carolina Panthers.

The Saints have had their share of problems recently with the betting line as they have lost their last 4 consecutive online betting matchups and 7 out of their last 9 against the spread overall. Despite losing their last 2 games straight up the Saints have clinched home field advantage for the entire NFC playoffs. Last week the Saints had their worst game of the season with the betting line as they lost at home to Tampa Bay 17-20 as 14-point home favorites.

The Saints have nothing to play for in this game and that will alter the dynamics of the betting line as they will likely protect starters from injury in this game. Also affecting the betting line is the fact that Carolina can close the season with a .500 record if they beat the Saints.

Carolina is 7-8 straight up and 8-7 with the betting line this year. The Panthers have had the hot hand with the betting line as of late with 4 consecutive payoffs. Carolina covered the betting line last week in a 41-9 blowout road win against the New York Giants as 9-point dogs.

Carolina has covered the spread in 5 out of their last 6 meetings with the Saints. The two teams have gone under the total in their last 5 head to head matchups at Carolina.
