Broncos at Eagles – NFL Betting Odds

Denver went from the top of the AFC heap to scrambling for its playoff life in a matter of weeks. Welcome to the NFL Josh McDaniels!

After a terrific 5-0 start the Broncos have started to tail off and at 8-6 are right where many people in the betting odds thought they should be, more or less a .500 ball club.

The Mile High Team still has control of the AFC Wild chase after being passed over by the surging Chargers in the AFC West, but it’s going to be a dog fight trying to hold on to the precious ticket to the post season.

Philly is simply a better team on betting lines and the big strike capabilities of the Eagles should have the Broncos wetting their pants. Granted, Denver has a pretty good defense giving up just 18 points a game (117 on the ground and 177 in the air) but with so many weapons on offense the Eagles can kill you several different ways before you even know you’re dead.

The Eagles defense is their weakest link in sports betting and is at best slightly above average. But Denver’s offense is a plodding, dink and dunk, type of scheme that tries to limit any mistakes that Kyle Orton can make.

You don’t need to be the Steel Curtain to keep this team under control. But you do need to score a lot of points and that is exactly what Donovan McNabb, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Co. excel at doing.

Both of these teams need to win this game for different reasons but at the end of the sports betting day when all the tens of thousands of Natty Light cans have been picked up from parking lot the Eagles will be 10-5 and the Broncos 8-7.
