Broncos Won’t Need ‘Luck’ Against the Browns

denver vs brownsThe Denver Broncos will roll the dice once again with a team in the NFL betting lines from Ohio and hope for the same kind of luck. Last week the Broncos may have executed one of the luckiest tipped ball TDs in NFL betting lines history as they put away the Cincinnati Bengals in the closing seconds. At home against an awful Browns team they shouldn’t need to rely on any divine intervention to get the win.

The Broncos are in the midst of a major make-over: a new coach, a new QB and the post Mike Shanahan era. But more importantly this team doesn’t have a lot of talent. It’s helped by the fact that it plays in a rotten AFC West, but it’s still a bad NFL lines team. Any team with Kyle Orton behind center has a severe handicap to overcome. The defense is also among the worst the worst in the league.

Fortunately the Browns are also a bad team. Worse, in fact, than unless the team can find a way to protect Brady Quinn this will be a very ugly stop on Eric Mangini’s coaching career. Could might have a promising career as an NFL QB but we’ll never know if he’s getting sacked five times a game, as he was against the Vikings. The defense also proved itself mediocre in week one and playing on the road and in the altitude will do nothing to enhance the Brown’s capabilities.

The NFL betting odds makers like the Broncos by a field goal (+3) in this one. Difficult to argue with that pick.
