Colts are the first team in

It should come as little surprise that the Indianapolis Colts will be playing in the NFL post season. But what is surprising is the rapidity in which the team qualified for the playoffs. In a week when most division races are just starting to tighten up the Colts put the AFC South race to bed and clinched an automatic playoff berth.

By coming from behind to defeat division rival Houston in their week 12 NFL betting lines contest the Colts grabbed their 11 win of the season and secured at least one game at home in the playoffs. The win was also the team’s 20th regular season victory in a row and one short of the NFL lines record. So in the last week of November the first team in the ten team playoff field has been set.

The only question now is which team teams will join Indy in the post season? Week 12 action hardly made things any clearer around the league and if anything the playoff picture is now even murkier than it was a week before. In the NFL betting odds in the AFC the Denver Broncos took a one game lead in the wild card competition but seven teams remain within two games of each other for the final spot in the AFC NFL betting odds playoff bid.

In the NFC there are still at least five teams battling it out with realist playoff hopes and it won’t likely be known until the final week whose in and whose out. So for now the Colts sit alone in playoff field and will have to wait and see which teams join them.
