Gambling NFL – 49ers at Eagles NFL Odds

December 20th, 2009 by Leave a comment Go to comments

For a Forty-Niners NFL gambling fan the team’s Monday night dismantling of a pretty good Arizona Cardinal team was as close to perfection as the team has come since the days of Joe Montana and Steve Young. But these days the defense is the driving force behind the team’s wins and it will certainly have its hands full against the Philadelphia Eagle’s big play offense.

The Eagles (9-4) are not a team you want to see across the NFL gambling odds in December. This seems to come alive in the last two months of the NFL season and the 2009 NFL odds season has been no different. This team is winners of four of their last six NFL betting contests and four straight including an offensive masterpiece against the division rival Giants in week 14.

Despite all the big play weapons on offense (DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy) the defense lacks any such talent. The weakest link for this Philly team has been its defense. Fortunately San Fran’s (6-7) offense is very challenged.

Still, when healthy and firing on all cylinders this team can run the ball very well with Frank Gore and his back up Coffee. San Fran’s defense can also be a nightmare for opponents as witnessed in the turnover-fest against the Cards.

But it’s hard to imagine lightning striking twice for the Niners. San Fran is still technically in the playoff hunt and that may motivate this team, but not nearly as much as the Eagles will be motivated by capturing the NFC East division title. Eagles will cruise to another victory.
