Monday Night Football Patriots vs Dolphins Sportsbook Odds

October 4th, 2010 by

patriots vs dolphinsAFC East NFL gambling fans: are you ready for some football? For the second time in two weeks the Miami Dolphins (2-1) host an AFC East rival in their back yard. Only this time the game will be played on a Monday night instead of Sunday and the Fins will be looking for a better result.

Last week the hated Jets came to South Florida and left with a win after badly exposing what had been the defense in the NFL through the first 3 weeks of football. Things don’t get any easier this week as the Dolphins host the division rival New England Patriots (2-1) who once again boast one of the best offenses in the league.

Kickoff for this Monday night match up is set for 8:40 Eastern Time and sbg global sportsbook opened with PK line with an over/under total at 47.5.

Miami had its best offense output of the season last week against a stifling Jets defense and will look to continue where it left off. Chad Henne had one of the best performances in this professional career throwing for 363 yards and 2 TDs. But perhaps more importantly in this NFL betting odds matchup, the coaching staff looks as if it finally has the confidence to take the training wheels off the offense and take some shots down field.

Henne also looks as if he finally getting in sync with new big play threat WR Brandon Marshall who had his best game as a Dolphin (10 catches, 166 yards, 1 TD). It’s a good thing because Miami’s ground game has been awful this year with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown doing very little in a very predictable offense.

On defense Karlos Dansby has been outstanding but this unit as a whole has been getting torched by TEs over the middle. Look for Tom Brady and rookie TE Aaron Hernandez to have plenty of success as the Dolphins coverage keys on Wes Welker and Randy Moss.

New England’s defense has some issues up the middle as well but Brady & co. should be able to outscore Henne & Co. that will be the difference in this sports betting match up.
