NFL Betting Lines – Jets vrs. Colts Online Betting

When any team faces the Indianapolis Colts the first objective is to shut down Peyton Manning. But the defensive coordinators soon find that this is next to impossible and move to phase two of the plan. Jets coach Rex Ryan might just be arrogant enough to think he can stop Manning and with a weapon like Derelle Revis in pass coverage and strong pass rush, he just might be right.

You simply cannot over estimate the play of Revis, unquestionably the best cover man in the NFL betting lines, playing perhaps as well as a CB has ever played in the NFL odds post season. Any receiver that has faced Revis this season has been effectively shut down, as in near zero contribution in the sports betting outcome. That has continued in the playoffs.

The only thing is, he can only eliminate one of the receivers. For teams with a more than one talented wide out such as the Cardinals or the Pats it’s not a back-breaker. But for the Colts, who have only one legitimately talented receiver, Reggie Wayne, this could be a real deal-breaker. Wayne (100 catches, 1,264 yards, 10 TDs) has the benefit of catching passes from Manning and plays in a potent offense that perhaps inflates his numbers slightly, but he is a legitimate talent and one of the best WRs in the online betting.

His partner in crime, Dallas Clark (100 catches, 1, 106, 10 TDs) also had a monster season and has been the antidote when teams double Wayne. But with Revis in the game, he should be able to eliminate Wayne by himself, freeing up a safety to help on Clark in the middle. That leaves Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon to beat the defense. And even the great Manning will have trouble beating the best defense in football with these two players.

You have got to be kidding! Garcon and Collie are excellent receivers and you fail to give enough credit to them and to Manning. I expect a retraction after the Jets lose to the Colts today. Will you humble yourself to do that???

Funny….Garcon and Collie torched the J…E…T…S.

Maybe now that Garcon is in the NFL record books…you can now qualify him as a “legitimately talented receiver”?
