NFL Betting Lines – Lions at Niners NFL Odds

December 25th, 2009 by Leave a comment Go to comments

December is a time of frenzied action in the NFL betting lines as team’s battle for playoff position and scramble to get the last remaining post season berths. So a game like this will receive little if attention from most of the sports betting community and is, for all intense and purposes, a real downer if you’re stuck watching this game due to regional network coverage.

There are least a dozen better games to watch in week 16 but nonetheless it must be played. And depending on the final NFL betting line it might even be an interesting match up to wager on.

The Niners (6-8) should really put a hurting on the Lions. This is a dome team that has enough trouble winning games in the friendly confines of its home field and will surely be up against the odds in a cold and windy setting like San Fran.

And the Niners are good home team (5-2) including a recent plastering of the NFC West champion Cardinals. You have to think this team is ready to tee off on whoever its next opponent is after blowing a shot at the division in recent betting odds losses.

Coach Mike Singletary had his team playing inspired defense which ranks 8th in the NFL (19 ppg) and is extremely stingy in the run game giving up just 96 ypg. The offense, well that’s not quite as effective but the team still manages a respectable 20 ppg.

As for the Lions, well there’s not much nice to say about this team so perhaps its better not to say anything at all. The team has weaknesses everywhere. Expect the Lions to win by a comfortable margin.
