NFL Betting Odds: New York Jets vs Miami Dolphins Picks

jets vs dolphinsNFL Betting Lines news… No NFL franchise has been in the news more during the past year than the New York Jets and it’s been almost universally negative coverage. In the most recent escapades of the NFL’s most hated team the team’s players have been accused of sexual harassment of a Mexican journalist, the team’s head coach has been dressed down for his foul language, the team’s star WR has been arrested on DWI charges but worst of all the team laid an egg in its season opener losing an ugly one to the Baltimore Ravens.

But the team bounced back with redeeming beat down of their AFC East rival New England Patriots (1-1) in the Week 2 action and will now look to run its win streak to 2 games in Miami against an undefeated Dolphins (2-0) squad.

Kickoff for this Sunday matchup is set for 8:40 Eastern Time and sbg global opened with the Dolphins as a very slim 2-point favorite with an over/under total at 35.5.

As low as this over/under total is it’s probably a bit too generous for two very challenged offenses.

For the New York Jets the offensive operations will be especially tricky as they’ll face the #1 defense in the NFL. The Dolphins have given up just 20 point all year against more skilled offenses than the Jets (at the Vikings unit is better; probably not the Bills). The Dolphin D has also snagged 3 INTs, returned 1 for a TD, forced a fumble and notched 6 sacks.

For a Jets team with a rotten O-line incapable of pass blocking and barely able to open holes for the running game this is distressing. Add to this the fact that the team will most likely be without the services of star WR Braylon Edwards as Coach Rex Reed has grounded him after a DWI arrest, this unit not likely so score a bunch of points.

The Jest will rely on the defense to stop the Dolphins offense and likely need this unit to score as well if they’re going to win this NFL gambling matchup. The defense will be without the team’s best player, CB Derelle Revis who was injured while giving up a long TD to Randy Moss last week.

But the Jets defense is still better than the Dolphins offense and this game will likely come down to turnovers.

This sports betting has all the makings of 3-0 result, but whatever the score is it’s likely the Dolphins will be the winner.
