Ravens at Steelers review – NFL Betting Line

Steelers fans who had given up on the defending world champions have seen Pittsburgh now emerge as a team that might rise from the dead as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 23-20.

The Steelers also covered the NFL betting line in their win over the Ravens as they were 2.5-point favorites. Jeff Reed’s 38 yard field goal in the 4th quarter was the difference in the win for the Steelers. Baltimore led or was tied for the entire game until Reed’s tie-breaking kick.

The Steelers improved their overall record to 8-7 straight up and 5-10 against the spread. While the AFC wild card race was in a logjam the Steelers can certainly improve their overall chances for a final playoff spot if they can win their final game at Miami on January 3.

It was the second consecutive nail biting win for the Steelers as they beat the Green Bay Packers last week on the final play of the game 37-36. The Steelers were reeling with a 5-game straight up losing streak before stopping the bleeding with wins in their last 2 games to get back into the playoff race.

Despite all of their problems the Steelers, as defending Super Bowl champions, would be a team that nobody wants to face in the post season.

Baltimore also has a record of 8-7 straight up. The loss to Pittsburgh snapped a 2-game winning streak. Baltimore will close out the regular season at Oakland against the Raiders on January 3.
