Seahawks Must Win Against Bears

bears vs seahawksThere are two certainties in Seattle: rain and injuries to franchise QB Matt Hasselbeck. This guy is one of the best in the league when healthy, unfortunately he can’t stay healthy for than a game or two in a row.

When the Chicago Bears come to town on Sunday he’ll either sit the game out or try and play with a broken rib. Neither portends well for the Hawks in the NFL betting lines. The SeaChickens have been all over the board this year opening the NFL lines season with 28-0 beat down on the ridiculous Rams only to be spanked 23-10 at home by the upstart Niners.

The Bears could be the best team that Seattle’s seen this year and last week’s poor performance will not be enough to get the win. Backup QB Seneca Wallace is an accomplished backup but he hardly strikes fear in the heart of the Bears.

Chicago enters this NFL betting odds match up with plenty of momentum having knocked off the Super Bowl champion Steelers at home. Even without anchor Brian Urlacher the D looked tough against the run and adequate against the pass.

But the big deal in Chicago is new QB Jay Cutler who looked quite good against Blitzberg. After a disastrous debut he bounced back and the line protected him reasonably well.

The NFL betting gurus like the Bears (+2) in this one and so should you. Seattle needs a win in order not to lose ground to the Niners in the NFC West, but with Hasselbeck at less than 100% it’s not likely to happen.
