T.O. Experiment a Failure

Terrell-OwensNot much of anything is going right for the Buffalo Bills this season NFL betting lines. Fortunately the Buffalo Sabres are off to a 5-1 start and lead their division for there’s little else for upstate sports fans to cheer about. And one of the key disappointments for a team that seemed as though it might challenge for the AFC East title early this year is the poor play of newly acquired NFL betting lines superstar free agent WR Terrell Owens.

NFL lines fans all know who T.O. is, the most controversial player of his generation and a lightening rod for the media. His acquisition was supposed to lift this team into the upper-tier of the NFL teams and help ignite a potent pasting game on the cusp of greatness.

While his trade did manage to sell season tickets and attract the mainstream media to the far reaches of New York for the first time since the Jim Kelly days, his contributions to NFL lines competition on the field has been non-existent.

Owens is off to the worst start of his long and storied career since this rookie days backing Niners great Jerry Rice. Many would say his NFL betting odds days are done. And by all accounts they would be right.

T.O. has just 15 catches through six games (just over 2 cpg) and a total of 215 yards (just 35.8 tpg). These are poor numbers for a third down slot receiver and atrocious for the supposed number one receiver brought in to resuscitate the offense.

Worse still, the offense is averaging just 15 points a game, among the worst in the league.

At 36-years of age the decline is only natural, but the suddenness of it all and the awful offense play of the Bills has still been an unexpected development.
