Monday Night Football Odds: Titans vs Jaguars Week 6 Picks

titans vs jaguarsGenerally Monday Night NFL gambling matchups are supposed to be interesting and exciting matchups of two relevant teams. In Week 6 of the NFL season fans will have no such luck and the 3-2 Tennessee Titans travel to the northern Florida to play the 3-2 Jacksonville Jaguars.

There isn’t much intrigue surrounding this game aside from the fact these two teams are both in the AFC South, the only division in the NFL right now where all 4 teams have winning record and all 4 teams have an identical record (Colts 3-2, Texans 3-2). But this statistical nonsense won’t last forever. It won’t even last until Monday as the results from this game will break up the log divisional log jam.

Kickoff for this Monday matchup is set for 8:35 Eastern Time and sbg global opened with the Titans as a 3-point favorite with an over/under total at 45.

The Jags are perhaps the most surprising 3-2 team in the league right now and are far from talented. QB David Gerrard looks to be on the hot seat and will likely keep his starting job only as long as the Jags keep winning. The team has won 2 straight games and is 1-0 in the division –all things considered, pretty impressive.

On defense Jacksonville stinks, giving up 27.6 ppg (30th in the league). This team cannot stop the run and is giving up 140.8 yards on the ground per game.

That one single stat basically summarizing this entire matchup and will the key to the Titan’s sports betting victory.
Tennessee has had some struggles of its own this season after opening up the season with an impressive 38-13 blowout of the Raiders. However, its defense is very solid and playing the kind of D that a Jeff Fischer team is known for. It should have little problem shutting down an offense with only one play maker, Maurice Jones-Drew.

The Titans offense should flourish against the terrible Jags D and reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year, RB Chris Johnson, should have a monster day and pad his already gaudy stats.

This game shouldn’t be that close and you should play the NFL betting odds accordingly.
