Teams Interested in QB Michael Vick

Tony Dungy has announced that he has spoken to “quite a few” NFL coaches about Michael Vick returning to the NFL.

michael-vickDungy, former head coach of the Indianapolis Colts has been serving as a mentor for Vick, who served a year and a half in federal prison for financing a dog fighting operation and was released from house arrest last month. During the NBC telecast of the Hall of Fame game, Dungy said to “I’ve talked to quite a few coaches who want to get my thoughts on where Vick is.”

Dungy revealed that Vick has already spoken with several teams. The former coach said that he believes the former QB from the Falcons will be with a team before training camp finishes.

Vick was recently readmitted in the NFL by the commissioner Roger Goodell, who later will decide if the player returns completely during the NFL Week 6 of the regular season.

Vick could immediately participate in practices, meetings and exercises in the training camp of any team, if any in the league is ready to sign him.
