NFL Betting Lines Saints @ Patriots Preview Odds Wagering

August 12th, 2010 by

new orleans saints An interesting NFL Betting preseason game on Thursday night August 12, 2010 at 7:30 PM EDT between the 2010 NFL Champions the Saints of New Orleans playing the Patriots of New England at Gillette Stadium.

What’s amazing is that these two teams hold joint practice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday preceding the game on Thursday. This is the first joint session since 2001 when the Pats did the same session with the Giants of New York. Check out the NFL Betting Odds at SBGGlobal.com Sportsbook.

The 1st time these two teams played in preseason was back in 2005 and the Saints won that one 37-27 which was their first road trip to Gillette stadium. All together in the Preseason they have sparred 8 times and at present are tied at 4-4.

In the regular season the Pats are 8-4 playing against the Saints and while playing them at home 4-3. The Patriots come into this game with a preseason record for all games at .437 or 97 wins 125 loses and a tie. Interestingly enough the Pats have played in three (3) Super Bowl games at the home of the Saints the Superdome. Another interesting stat is that the Pats are the one and only team in the National Football League that has had nine (9) or more wins in the last nine (9) NFL seasons going back to 2001.

The QB for the Saints who is expected to see the most action is Chase Daniel who had no play action during 2009 as the #3 QB. He did see preseason action in 2009 and threw for 14 of 24 with three Td’s. Also expect to see Pat Ramsey the #3 QB this season. There running back and wide receivers will all see action limited the time and possible injuries of each prior to the regular season.

For the Pats, it is always normal for Brady to play longer than most NFL QB’s during the preseason as this has been the practice of Coach Belichick. The back-up QB’s will be Hoyer at #2 and then at 3rd rookie Robinson and 4th Rowe. The Pats like the Saints have a lot of depth in receivers and running back so there we will see a lot of substitutions also.

The bookmakers at SBGGlobal.com have the NFL Odds on this game favoring the Patriots at -1 1/2 (-110) and the Saints at +1 ½ (-110) and setting the Over at 35 ½ (-110) and the Under at 35 ½ (-110) and for the Money Line the Patriots are -125 and the SAINTS are +105. Naturally these NFL Betting lines and NFL Odds are subject to change.
