Just a few months removed from the end of the 2009-10 NFL betting lines season and the incredible and improbable New Orleans Saints Super Bowl victory the sports betting public already wants to know: Can the Saints repeat? The quick and simple answer to this question is: No.
And that’s no knock on the Saints an NFL betting organization or its players, it’s simply that repeating as the Super Bowl betting champion might be the most difficult thing to do in professional team sports. It is extremely rare as only three teams have done in the past three decades, and only one team (the New England Patriots) have done in the era since free agency has taken effect. Read more…
The biggest NFL betting story heading into the NFL draft wasn’t even about which players were going to be selected first in the process this year. Instead, the fallout created by Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger bled over into the NFL draft action and threatened to overshadow the entire process.
After being under investigation for sexual assault, for the second time in two years, Big Ben’s off field antics took center stage in the run up to the biggest off season event for NFL gambling fans. Rumors were rampant that the Steelers would trade the troubled, but talented franchise QB on or before the NFL draft.

The only constant about the 2010 NFL draft QB class has been Oklahoma’s Sam Bradford at the top, but with the NFL draft still two days off, maybe even that could change before the first player is taken.
After the 2009 college football betting season this QB class was receiving as much NFL betting hype as any in memory. It was being compared to the likes of the legendary 1983 NFL draft that produces three Hall of Fame QBs, NFL gambling legends Jim Kelly, John Elway and Dan Marino. Players like Colt McCoy, Bradford, Tim Tebow and others had NFL betting scouts drooling. Read more…
Whether it was a brilliant or an insane move by Pittsburgh Steelers to trade away former Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes matters little now but you can be sure that that move will have a major impact on the upcoming NFL Draft.
The move came as just the latest in an NFL betting off season that has seen many an interesting move. The McNabb trade to Philly comes to mind as does the Delomme signing in Cleveland. But neither of those moves will likely have as big an impact on the upcoming draft as the Steelers moving Holmes this NFL betting lines offseason. Read more…
