Sports Betting – Chargers at Titans NFL Odds

On paper a sports betting match up between a 7-7 club and an 11-3 club might not sound all that interesting. But when that 7-7 club is the red hot Titans and the 11-3 club is the even hotter Chargers, that changes the equation a bit and slaps the lipstick on this pig.

After starting the season 0-6 the Titans have gone 7-1 under new starting QB Vince Young and have become one of the most compelling stories in the online betting world.

The team’s winning streak over the past two months have been eclipsed by only two teams in the NFL betting lines competition and one of them is the sizzling Chargers. San Diego has rattled off 9 wins a row, over some very good teams, and doesn’t seem to have many –if any- weaknesses.

QB Phil Rivers has been playing flawlessly and his colossal receiving corps led by the monstrous Vincent Jackson is all but uncoverable in jump ball situations. The running game could (86 ypg) be a bit better and the run defense (117 ypg) is below average. But the Bolts more than make up for it on offense.

Still, playing on the road vs. a team like the Titans fighting for its life and with a dynamic QB like Young those run defense weaknesses might finally bring the team’s wins streak to a halt. Young is just one of the focal points on offense and the RB Chris Johnson not only leads the league in rushing (1,730 yards) but he’s always one carry away from a ripping off a TD.

The cold could also be a problem for a warm weather team like the Chargers and this looks like a great chance for a betting odds upset in Nashville.
