Sports Betting – Eagles at Cowboys NFL Odds

There are many difficult things to accomplish in the NFL but beating a team three times in a single season has to rank right up there as one of the harder things to do in team sports betting. In the first two meetings of the year the Dallas Cowboys (11-5) have gotten the better of their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles (11-5), most recently last week.

So the odds would seem to benefit Philly in the NFC wildcard matchup even if the NFL odds don’t. Heading into this weekend’s showdown the host Cowboys are favored by four points in the betting lines. Based on the ease with which the ‘Boys won last week and the domination on both sides of the ball that seems like a good pick.

But than again, beating an opponent three times in a row in NFL wagering –no matter what their record- is extremely difficult. Despite the recent loss the Eagles have the perfect roster to get the rebound win. Philly’s offense has been one big play after another this season and with weapons like DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, LaSean McCoy, etc, it’s hard to keep this team out of the offense for long.

Donovan McNabb needs to step up and have a much better game than week 17 (223 yards, 0 TDs) but if can get started early the Eagles should be able to get the ball in the hands of their big playmakers and get some points on the board. The defense will also have to play its part but we should expect a much closer game as Dallas goes for three in row.
