Sports Betting – Jets at Bengals Betting Lines

When you’re the New York Jets and you lead the league in rushing with a very impressive 172 yards per game, quarterbacking isn’t necessarily something that worries you all that much. Picking up 4.5 yards per carry is an awfully good antidote to a rookie QB who’s about as consistent as quicksand.

But all those stats are from the regular season NFL betting lines action. The post season is a whole season and the NFL odds competition is not going to simply let you run the ball down its throat. So the big question for the Jets is whether or not rookie QB Mark Sanchez is up the task of leading this team past the first round sports betting opponent the Cincinnati Bengals?

Statistically speaking it wouldn’t seem so. Over the past month of football he’s thrown for more than 106 yards just once and has just 2 TDs to go with his 3 picks over the past four games. For the season his TD/INT ratio of 12/20 is among the worst in the NFL and every chance he’s been given to try and lead the offense he’s more or less failed.

In the week 17 matchup against the Bengals he managed just 63 yards. Head Coach Rex Ryan seems to have little faith in his playmaking ability and it shows. On Saturday he’ll play in the most difficult game of his life against a Bengals defense that is among the best in the league. Cincy is giving up just 98 yards per game on the ground and the Jets must have at least some success passing to win this game. That will not be easy against the Bengals shutdown corners and New York gets behind early and Sanchez has to throw you can bet there will be some INTs involved.
