Sports Betting – Philadelphia at Dallas NFL Odds

In the NFL, as with all sports, it boils down to the offense versus defense. In the old days a good defense would always be favored in January over a good offense in the NFL odds. But in the pass-happy, high scoring league of today there the offense seems to have the advantage.

Weather, of course, has much to do with this equation, but that too has changed now that stadiums, such as the new Dallas stadium has retractable roofs. That roof should neutralize the elements in this weekends NFL odds NFC wildcard matchup when the Cowboys play host to the Eagles for the second week in a row.

After beating the Eagles twice already this season the betting lines seem to overwhelmingly support another Dallas win this weekend. And why not? The ‘Boys offense is as prolific as they come and has gotten progressively better as the season has worn on. QB Tony Romo finished the regular season NFL wagering season with a 97.6 passer rating, nearly 4500 yards passing and 26 TDs.

Austin Miles emerged as one of the elite receivers in the league and after starting only handful of games finished with 81 catches for 1320 yards, 11 TDs and an incredible 16.3 ypc. On the ground the team ranked 7th in the league with 131 yards per game and in the past month the duo of Marion Barber and Felix Jones has been all but unstoppable. As evidenced in last week’s beat down the Eagles D is not adequate to stop this attack that has averaged 399.4 ypg (2nd in the NFL).
