Sports Betting – Vikings vrs. Saints Betting Lines

No defense wants to face the New Orleans offense right now, but for the Minnesota there is no choice in the matter. The whole sports betting season comes down to 60 minutes of football on Sunday with the winner advancing to the biggest stage on the planet and the loser going home to contemplate what went wrong in the NFL odds.

But if any team left in the betting lines is equipped to take on Drew Brees & Co., it’s the Vikings. Anyone who saw the Saints in action last week against the Arizona Cardinals knows there’s no rust on this offense, despite what so many people had predicted during the bye week. Brees (23-32, 247 yards, 3 TDs) looked masterful as his team hung up 45 points on the Red Birds.

But the Cardinals defense was pathetic as evidenced by its giving up 90 points in two NFL wagering playoff games. The Vikings are anything but. The main difference between the two teams is that the Vikings are one of the few teams that will be able to apply pressure to Brees. During the regular season, when teams are able to get a few knockdowns, hurries and even sacks on Brees the offense begins to hiccup.

Arizona did none of that and with all the time in the world Brees picked the unit apart. Minnesota is coming off a 6 sack game against a very good Dallas team with one of the best O-lines in football. It’s not difficult to imagine a similar outcome against New Orleans and it that’s the case the Vikes will back in the Super Bowl for the first time since the ‘70s.
